The beloved Snyder Tigers travel to the house Gordon Wood built to take on the Brownwood Lions. This game is for what most think will be the 4th place spot and a birth in the playoffs.

Lions In A Cat Fight For Playoff Berth


The Brownwood Lions continue District 3-4A Division I play tomorrow night.

The Lions haven't won a game in district play yet this season, but the most important one is Friday night.

The winner of the cat fight between the Lions and the Snyder Tigers is going to the playoffs.

So, no matter what happened in the past, the future is right in front of the Lions.

Head coach Chuck Howard said,"I just told the players this is the most important game we've played all year because it is for a playoff spot, so certainly it is more important. Our approach is we practice like we do every week. We prepare for our opponents the same. It's just the fact that this game has a little bit more importance on it than the rest. Snyder is always just tough, blue collar kids. They're gonna play hard. I think they are doing a great job offensively. They move the ball well. They do a great job of getting the ball to their play makers."

The Lions and the Tigers are set to meet at Gordon Wood Stadium tomorrow night.

The winner goes to the playoffs. It's the season finale for Snyder.

Dukay(sp) who was to take over Conner Howards dutys was carted off in the 1st quarter. We are down to nothing after adding 5 sophs. for this game.
