Sweetwater Red

Sweetwater can clinch the #1 seed and at least a share of the district title with
a win over the Pecos Eagles tonight. While the Mustangs are heavy favorites -
I hope they leave nothing to chance, put this one away early and don't let the
Eagles hang aroung like they did against Ft. Stockton three weeks ago.
Here's a brief capsule about tonight's game from the OA. I omitted their
"Sweetwater player to watch" because the kid doesn't play for Sweetwater
and from reading what is written about him he doesn't play for Pecos either
lol.
Sweetwater Mustangs at Pecos Eagles
>> Time, Date, Place: 7:30 p.m., tonight, Eagle Stadium.
>> Records: Sweetwater 8-0, 3-0 District 2-4A Division II; Pecos 2-5, 1-2.
>> Last Week: Sweetwater def. Monahans, 63-34; Pecos def. Lamesa, 51-36.
>> Radio: KIUN AM-1400 (Pecos).
>> Last Season: Did not play.
>> Pecos Key to Victory: Establish the running game. Make big plays and finish mistake-free.
>> Sweetwater Key to Victory: Play consistent. Slow the Pecos rushing attack and force the Eagles’ two quarterbacks, Bubba Henson and Joe Angel Villegas, to win through the air.
>> Pecos Player to Watch: Former receiver Angel Rincon has moved to running back for the Eagles, in relief of the injured Alex Garcia. Rincon rushed for 85 yards and two touchdonws on 14 carries in the Eagles’ win over Lamesa.
