It's 3 hours or 204 miles from Sweetwater to Pecos. Just interested to see how other's

Well Im driving 320 miles roundtrip for my game that I am officiating. Driving from Glen Rose to Muenster then Muenster to deer camp which is just north of Brownwood. Will be a long day but we are stopping to eat in Lindsey to eat some BBQ on the way. So way worth the trip

Is that the BBQ joint that's shaped kinda like a sonic? I stop at the store beside it nearly every time on my way to Quanah. Always wondered if it was any good?

About a mile if you take the shortcut... which I always do. Come in from the backside and avoid the traffic on Buffalo Gap.

BTW--for the Big Spring folks--exit I-20 at Tye and come south on 707, after you cross HWY 277 take the 1st left--follow it and it becomes Antilley Road--takes you right to Wylie HS and you avoid the traffic... There I just saved you 20 minutes.

The best! Boy do I miss that place. There is another one off Main St. near the intersection of 610 South and Main St. near Reliant, unless it has closed down. That will keep you away from Cougar High! JK JK....

Third trip to Glen Rose this season on for a Thurdsay night. You need to switch to Waco Chapter. At least you can catch those Thursday nighters. One or two games and not driving is a killer.

Bring an ice chest and load up on German sausage from Fischer's Meat market in Muenster. Everybody at deer camp will think you are a hero...

One or two games and not driving is a killer.Problem is that everything else is far besides Glen Rose. Thats why I chose the Ft Worth chapter. I generally work granbury, Stephenville, hico, tolar, cleburne etc. But Varsity schedule has us all over north texas. lol

That is definitely a drive. I believe Fabens plays in Andrews this week which is 280 miles one way. These 2 games are probably 2 of the longest drives in the state for a district contest.

But...but..., I have 2 stop lights, 4 stop signs, and 9 turns I have to maneuver. Does that count?:D

I forgot about Andrews being in an "El Paso" district. Next year it will be killer when they
play three of those four teams on the road.

That's exactly why they opted up all those year's. They decided to start playing schools their own size and that's
the price they pay.
