View Full Version : 3A Gets a New School in 2003

Well sports fans, Old Cardinal has made a valid point about larger schools having a much better chance of success than the smaller schools. So in an effort to become more productive, and in order to keep from getting “kicked around”, the school boards of Celina and Pilot Point voted unanimously today to consolidate the two small schools. The new school will be built in Mustang Texas, just across the street from coach G.A. Moore’s ranch, and due to the importance of football in North Texas, the school will be open and ready for use by the beginning of the 2003 school year. The team will now simply be called G.A.’s Boys, and the new stadium will be ready by zero week as well. While the consolidation will still only bring enrollment numbers up to around 700 students, (still too small in Old Card’s theory, and still not the largest school in District 9 behind Gainesville’s 800+) coach Moore has assured both school boards that they will be competitive. In an effort to prove that G.A.’s Boys can play at the mighty 3A level, Coach Moore is trying to schedule pre-season games with powerhouse teams like, Bridge City, Denton Ryan, Southlake Carroll, Highland Park, and the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone from both towns seems to be really exited and cannot wait for football season to begin. It is really shaping up to be a great year.

Keith, 805 is still 800+ aint it? And I can't believe YOU can sit there and say that anything I do is stupid. :D

3afan2K3, if it took you three minutes to read that, you need to work on your reading skills, it should have only taken you about 50 seconds :p

I was wrong.. it is actually only 787.. not 800+ and when you say 800+ that makes people think we are in the upper 800's not just 5 people into it..

That would be a gay name for a team "GA's boys" I would transfer if my school's football team was called that
Gainesville's enrollment incase u didnt believe me (http://www.gainesvilleisd.com/ENROLLMENT.htm)

To PPHS, I have just been informed that you comb your hair with a Porkchop; and you have absorbed too much grease through your cranium! Maybe G.A. can run you up and down the bleachers daily until you can sweat it off!

What a powerhouse that would be and a coach that knows all the players already.Of course done in
jest, but with the way school budgets are and losing more and more funding every day it seems, some consolidations may indeed happen. Commerce and Cooper(fairly decent 2a school)would be a good fit. Would put enrollment around the 800 mark
Biggest prob is they are in different counties so not likely to happen. Fun to think about though. Probably some other good matches out there.

I apologize for saying that you do not appreceiate good humor, you are not grown up enough yet to understand. At least you play football in a great town, so you got that going for you anyway :D

If you knew him you would understand why a lot of things are confusing to him...you're gonna have to trust me on that one...

I understood the joke and it wasnt funny 5 months ago and it really isnt now..

the only thing i like about the idea is that it would me the game against Gainesville alittle more competitive.. I'd say it would be 45-0 with G-ville winning

Keith,

Don't sell the L wink eopards short. I think you would score at least once, probably a fumble returned for a TD against the second or 3rd string. So, let's say 45-7.

Thanks for the humor PPHS...

When I hear 800+ I think either a hundred or a little over...

If he wanted to give the impression that they had upper 800's he would have said 'upper 800's'... I think you're the only one who thought it was upper 8's...
