Been a member on here for way over 10 years. Don't post very often but I need a lot of prayers. My wife had her colon removed Monday. The biopsy came back and she has cancer. Cancer is probably in her liver also. Will find out tomorrow. Please pray for us.

Prayers headed your way. I have a mother-in-law that is currently at the 1 year mark after being diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer that metastasized to her lymph nodes and liver. She has had miraculous results from her treatments with very few side effects, and they hit her very hard with multiple rounds of different chemo. She lost her hair of course but that has since grown back. The worst side effect that she had was numbness (neuropathy) in her hands and feet. They have yet to give her a prognosis because she has had such a great reaction. PLEASE do not get on the internet and read about the prognosis. Most of the studies are from years ago and treatments have advanced SO much in the last couple of years. It will be harder on you than her sometimes, but you have to be the rock no matter how hard it will be.

Prayers for your wife (and you) LV. I do believe in the power of prayer and you've got prayers from all the corners of Texas. Like OleBull said... Reading the negative info will discourage you both... Stay positive and DO NOT be afraid to get a second opinion.

Another piece of unsolicited advice. ..(not knowing your age, or even if you have children, young or old) From someone who's had several friends go through cancer surgery, treatment, recovery... Don't try to "protect" your children from the truth... They will know mom is sick.. Depending of course on their age, explain to them what's going on and how that will affect her... Kids are stronger than we think sometimes.....
