Sweetwater will be looking to go to 7-0 with a win over the Rangers tonight.
But, they'll have to do so without their starting MLB and RB Jacoby Hunt
who is out for the year after injuring his elbow against Fort Stockton and
having surgery earlier this week. He had 57 rushes for 319 yards giving him
a 5.6 YPC average with two score and 6 catches for 79 yards. Below is the only
online mention of our game that I could find.

Sweetwater (6-0) enters this week ranked No. 13 in the MaxPreps Class 4A-Division II rankings and wields an offense that averages 48 points per game. Mustangs quarterback Kaegan Jeffrey’s 1,476 passing yards and 20 touchdowns leads the high-powered offense.

Greenwood (3-3) has won back-to-back games, led by Zach Redwine’s five passing touchdowns and nine rushing touchdowns.

With Sweetwater’s undefeated record on the line against the surging Rangers, this is our pick for Top Game of the Week.

Cool! Looking forward to a home game next week after three games on the road with a bye week week
mixed in. Y'all should come watch us unless you going to Snyder to watch a mismatch.

Congrats!

Thanks. Sweewater hasn't had a game where they started pulling starters in the second quarter
in a LONG time. Mobley let Jeffrey play a little over half the third quarter before he pulled him
and he still finished with 346 yards passing with 4 TDs passing and 1 TD rushing.

Very impressive! Great to see the mustangs back to their old self, although their old self would have 346 yards rushing, rather than passing. Hoping the mustangs get to play in the DFW area during the playoffs so I can catch a game this year.

A lot of that will depend on whether Sweetwater beats Monahans this Friday. May play in Stephenville
area sooner rather than later if they don't.

I think Sweetwater will beat Monahans, too much speed, and the Loboes have had trouble with teams with that much speed. Loboes will have to play a perfect game with limited mistakes, and no turnovers

This should be a great game. I will definately be there. This year it seems everyone is downplaying the Loboes for three losses but fail to see who those losses were to. We lost to Big Spring by one point and played well against Andrews and Lubbock Cooper with four starters out. We are healthy now so this should be a good one. I say those three teams we lost to probably had pretty good speed too. To me this is what High School football is all about. Its not over till its over and anything can happen on any given friday night. My hope is that regardless who wins friday that both teams come out of this healthy.
