They do a segment each week where they find over the top radio calls of a play in a game. Most of the time they are NFL, college, or high school football games. Generally the broadcasters of the game are going crazy over a great play by their team or really mad about a play or call by the referee, hence the name "Homer Call." This week, Alvarado's radio guys made the segment for a call they made on a long run by an Alvarado player. I think he ended up scoring but the broadcasters were going crazy because it was such a good run. One of them said something like "He must have ran 215 yards for that one score!" It was pretty funny. They usually nominate about 5 a week, and then the hosts vote on the best one. The Alvarado radio guys won this week. At the end of the season, they have a playoff segment, and pick a "Homer Call of the Year!"

i recall the play..punt return last week..50 yd PR for a TD..took .30 seconds!!! and about 100 yds.
