Hello Everyone - just want to share pictures of the grand opening of their new stadium. Opening night is this Friday against Kerrville Tivy.

Some history; SMCISD has never owned their own stadium. They have been playing at Texas State on Thursday nights. So this will be a huge event for everyone.

It takes a act of congress for some reason to get a picture posted on the downlow. Not very user friendly Hollyville. I know of two that know all the loops you have to jump through, to get them posted. Dawgfan64 is one of them. Might PM them. Love to see SM new stadium photos.

They always played Seguin and most other teams on Fridays that I know of in my lifetime.

That looks a whole lot like Denton's stadium. Nice!

Since Texas State climbed to D1, rules required them to give up Friday night to the visiting team on home games. This became a nightmare to schedule around and SMCISD found themselves having to play a lot of their regular season games on Thursdays.
