"Huge test" ain't exactly the words for this one, haha. More like "Miracle in Seattle" if the Cowboys can somehow walk out with a win. But this is the NFL, and on any given Sunday miracles do happen in this league, lol. "ROMO to the RESCUE"....farmersfan will love this one, haha.:cool:

The Seahawks will try to hit Dallas in the mouth and hope they fold---I hope they don't and hit back. If Wilson is not spyed by somebody fast who can tackle---it will be a long day. Dallas rush and contain has got to be there and LB's and secondary have got to sure tackle Lynch at the point of attack. Offensive line has to protect Romo and he has to be on target, and we know that Murray yards are key.

Just keep it respectful, IMO.

However, Seattle coming off their last 3 Monday night games are 1-3 with the win being against a poor TB team in OT.

Farmersfan
10-12-2014, 05:06 PM
Dallas dominating in all phases of the game. Second half starts and Dallas has opportunity to put a nail in the Seahawk's coffin and Romo goes to the ground for a 10+ yard loss without anyone touching him. If the momentum changes in this game that was the play that caused it!

As bad as I hate to say this, dallas has been the most dominant team to this point in the season...

Romo hasn't been screwing yall over, o line looks awesome and the defense has to be the most improved in the league, even with Lee out. Dline looks damn good

The ONLY thing holding this team back is these stupid fumbles and mental mistakes. Murray and special teams. Happened against houston and it happened again here.

Yes, it was a great job by Tony getting out of the pressure and extending the play. His ability to do this makes me even madder that he takes a dive for a 10 yard loss earlier when he didn't have anyone there to hit him.

Free was in the game for the victory formation and apparently he's fine.

Gotta say, there's nothing more awesome then when the OL and the guys in the victory formation do the Landry shift. Apparently Jason Garrett said it was never practiced, or at least to his knowledge. I saw them do it earlier this year against New Orleans and didn't know why they did it, but my Dad explained it to me yesterday. Awesome practice to a true legend.

By the way, I can deal with any Monday when as of right now, the Cowboys are the best team in the NFL.

The boys had a look of determination in their eyes yesterday and their play showed that. They were not going to be denied on either side of the ball. the play where russel reads the end, pulls it and then has the option to throw is almost impossible to stop if executed properly, Dallas smothered it, just one example of the flying around on defense. To go into Seattle and go down 10-0 early and give up a blocked punt for td and two critical fumbles and still win? incredible, almost unbelievable. I'll ride this as far as it will take me, and happy for it. o-line aewsome, murray,defense, great spot play by reserve rbs, scandrick playing well, lb play is good, and most incredibly, Romo maybe best in league at this point

It's honestly amazing. Rolando McClain has been a true blessing. Maybe one of the best linebackers in the NFL at this current moment. There are playmakers on this defense, but no real superstars. I was very surprised that the DL had constant pressure on Wilson yesterday, Anthony Spencer didn't have a sack, but I felt like he was in the backfield almost every passing play.

Now that these guys know they can compete with the best I expect nothing but improvement. This team is starting to carry a swagger and I guarantee that no team in the NFL is excited about facing Dallas.

A good running game at any level always makes the qb's job easier, esp. in the NFL. Romo has never had what some other elite-throwing qbs in the NFL have enjoyed....a running attack to help offset the pass rush. Things are a little different when the D has to respect a running attack....suddenly Romo has much more time than in previous seasons. It makes all the difference at the NFL level. At the college level, it helps a great deal but is not close to being essential like in the NFL. And what we're really talking about here, btw, is the Oline....not the rb's.

Lol I mean he only allowed two catches and a defensive holding against one of the best WR's in the league.....He also trailed Dez around the entire field after Maxwell went down. I was surprised they did that.

Ultimately, I still give the win to Dez because the 'Boys won!

Yeah...I would give the edge to Dez too. Of the 6 times Romo threw at Sherman, only 2 were caught. That said, there were several times that Sherman was beat. The pressure made Romo scramble and find other targets.

Here is this quote from Sporting News and I think this would apply to my heavily criticized friend JJ WATT.

"Oh, that's right, you want Sherman to be perfect — zero completions allowed; a pick or two against maybe the best receiver in the game right now. "Best" doesn't mean "perfect," people."

"suddenly Romo has much more time than in previous seasons"

Romo's QB rating is 2nd best of his career at 100.5 so far but history will tell us he is due for 2 more "Romo meltdowns". All other stats are about 4th best of his career or worse................... I'm pleased as punch that the 'boys are having success and are on this winning streak but they still have the QB who will meltdown in the playoffs if they even manage to get there. For years the Romosexuals have demanded a top defense, top 0-line, top running game and top coaching staff for their boy wonder. For years the Romosexuals have demanded a top defense, top 0-line, top running game and top coaching staff for their boy wonder. Well, so far it appears they have it! let's wait and see the results!!!!

now tony knows what troy felt like for all those years

Right now the Cowboys have the #4 offense in the NFL and the #19 defense in the NFL. Romo has had better than this 4 times in his 8 year career.

2006= #5 offense #13 defense
2007= #3 offense #9 defense
2008= #3 offense #8 defense
2009= #2 offense #9 defense

I think whether or not people realize how valuable Romo was or how much they learn to appreciate Romo is entirely dependent on who they bring in to replace him. If they bring in a quality QB I don't think the fans of the Cowboys give Romo a second thought. Of course if they replace him with a Quincy Carter then Romo will be missed. The irony about Staubach's comments is that people didn't really miss Romo when he got hurt and missed 10 games in 2010. Jon Kitna wasn't as good as Romo but the difference between the two didn't really impact the win loss record for the team in the least. I stand firm on my assertion that the Cowboys would have gone 8-8 the last 3 seasons with pretty much any QB you want to name................

I am very happy the Cowboys are doing well right now, but I'm not totally convinced we are SB contenders. The Cowboys defense is playing pretty good, the offensive line is the best in the league IMO, and the running game is outstanding. Now it seems to me I recall the romo-sexuals on here making excuses for Romo because the play of the three aforementioned areas of the game every time Romo blew a game. SO.....if the Cowboys don't win a SB this year, or even one playoff game because of a romo meltdown, what will their excuse be then?

Seriously, I hope we go all the way with romo as the qb, but the reality is the odds are very much stacked against him. Nobody commented on a post I made previously when I said that I wasn't so sure Romo wasn't throwing the ball to Witten whenever Williams made that remarkable catch. I assume that since there was no response that others must have thought the same thing. When I seen that play live, I thought Tony had just thrown a pick, but out of no where Williams comes in and makes a catch. Sometimes the football Gods smile on you and a little luck can go a long way. The season is still very young and we could still end up 8-8, but for now I will wear my Cowboys cap proudly.

I really don't care who Romo was trying to throw the ball to as long as it was caught! Does it really matter? 2 guys in the same area and 1 caught it! Cowboys win!

Actually there was 5 guys in the area, and 3 of them were not the Cowboys.
There are three things that happen when you throw a football, and two of them are not good.

Wow, 5 game win streak and some people still want to be picky.
