Thinking the same thing.

I know stafford isn't what it used to be, but it's still hard for me to pick them to win anything football related lol

This could be a heck of a battle. The districts best defense against the run vs the best rushing attack. Eight Ricebirds have intercepted a total of 13 passes led by the two corners with 3 each. They should be able to neutralize the Spartans big receiver to some degree. I just think EC has too many weapons.

Ricebirds 29 -13

Stafford has some size on the d-line . That may be enough to make this game interesting . Stafford has big receivers with a little speed. I think EC will win in a close game . Should be a good game.

Stafford has a great qb, can throw the football with precision....I dnt think el campos pass defense is good enough....that qb puts the ball where his wr will catch it or no one will...

The Ricebirds by 21-Stafford's defense isn't that overwhelming

Ball control will be imperative in this one for the Ricebirds. And I think they can squeeze this one out by 8.

They haven't allowed over 100 yards rushing since the first game against EB. They have allowed 515 yards on 183 carries or 2.81 yards per carry this season . That's pretty salty. You must be talking about their pass defense.

Almost time for the first of three big games in our district. The winner takes a big step in the right direction. Seems the Birds may be without one of their starting running backs but I'm not sure. If so there are some talented backups waiting for their chance. On the other side of the ledger, Stafford welcomes back QB Dylan Stewart. This could be a real start to finish battle. Get er done Birds!

Alontae Harris was hurt in ECs first second half series last week. Shoulder I think but I'm not sure. Heard he's been suiting up but not practicing. Maybe they are being cautious but we won't know until tomorrow night.

Starting RB Alontae Harris out with a shoulder injury and then starting QB JD Washington goes out with an ankle injury very early second quarter. Enter Kevin Dove. End of story.

Coach Gilis said it all after the game. It was a program win. The kids who needed to step up did and got the job done.... Now its on to Bay City.

Dove is part of the program. And as good a player as there is in this part of the state,on either side of the ball.
