With only 6 Weeks gone(5 games played by most teams), I'd hafta say there's lots of maneuvering left before we can all see the cream that rises to the top. This season it will be well into the playoffs before that happens with the divided divisions this year. Be that as it may, here's a look at my Top Ten at this juncture:

1. Navasota
2. La Grange
3. Gilmer
4. Argyle
5. Stephenville
6. Kennedale
7. Van
8. Atlanta
9. Sweetwater
10. LaVernia

what makes you put LaGrange in front of Gilmer......inquiring minds want to know?

Right off the bat, you have to give them credit for being 6-0 and convincing wins on a decent schedule. As far as comparing to Gilmer, I'd hafta say their lines on both sides of the ball seem to be impressive by all indications. Otherwise their 2 rb's and qb wouldn't have the successes they have enjoyed so far this season. Would you be happier if I put Gilmer(5-0) ahead of them? I had to pick one, and I picked LaGrange for one more game played successfully.

The question you should have asked is why I have Stephenville ahead of Kennedale, and Argyle ahead of Kennedale. I don't know why I have Stephenville ahead of Kennedale, except that Kennedale barely got past Gainesville, and Stephenville had a bad game against Cooper, imo. I think Argyle has done more than most could expect and appear to be a well-rounded team with lots of ingredients. Until somebody can knock them off, which I don't see happening anytime soon, they should be in the mix as a Top Five until somebody proves differently. They have been successful with what has been a very competitive schedule and only look to be improving each week.

No Regal. I don't know anything about them and was pretty sure you could give me at least a little bit of info. Pretty sure we gonna have to find out more.

I'm only going by what I read each week about LG and the teams they are playing. I pretty much can imagine about Gilmer this season....knowing how your team is coached and put together over the years. I haven't seen Gilmer either, but I really don't need to yet. Let's just assume LG is pretty darn good until somebody can step up and prove they have some weaknesses that will cause them to lose. They have beaten Liberty Hill, Columbus, La Vernia, Taylor, Fred, and Yoakum....not a bad run by any stretch.

For years I've seen the AP voters show a lot of respect for Hugh Sandifer and Abilene Wylie by
ranking them highly in preseason polls when they've only returned two or three starters or
had have them in the top ten even after a loss or two. So, to not even see them get a single
vote after just two losses seems strange to me.

They've lost their offense and haven't been able to find it. Maybe this open week they will.

 Hi ccmom, slingshot, nobogey, GarciaP77. Btw, where has GarciaP77 been this season? Is he still around? Probably just reads these days because there isn't much to post about. Oops, I didn't mean that.

3) QB's...no one has any jaw dropping stats...we share the love...Gilmer’s offense is averaging 530.6 total yards per game, rushing touchdowns by 8 different players and receiving touchdowns by 7 different players.

But, but, we haven't faced any stiff competition yet. The thing is...we have scored so fast that the defense is on the field for nearly 3 quarters of each game. Just imagine if our offense actually had the ball more than 40 plays per game. Good LAWD!....And we still average 56.6 PPG.
