Jourdanton has to have that "we believe" going on. That's a strong aide sometimes. Like to see them start doubting somewhat, before the last game. If ya know what I mean.

They have been struggling mostly in 2nd half. In all their games they look good in 1st half with only Rockport game the defense was lost from the start. Despite that they find other ways to score and win.

Sinton wins this one easily. Jourdanton has not played anybody and it will show as they enter district play now. Jourdanton won't win another game this season and will be pulling the basketballs out of the closet on Nov. 10th, after they get blown out by the Gobblers to end their season. My thoughts are that the district championship will be taking place in Yoakum next Friday night (Oct.10th), and the final standings will be: 1) Cuero 4-0, 2) Yoakum 3-1, 3) Sinton 2-2, 4) Ingleside 1-3, 5) Jourdanton 0-4.

IF these Sinton boys could put 4 quarters of football together they would be unstoppable. They should be putting up 40 pts a game, but just not hitting on all cylinders right now. This is going to be a long season. Some very good games every week from here on out!

Hoping they use more of Owens in the backfield but the depth hasn't been there so far, a lot of them going both ways could be one of the reasons they're not getting a good 4 qtrs. of football.

I agree. Jourdanton is pretty talented after all. Not Cuero-like loaded, but--they can really contend for a playoff spot IMO. My head linesman went to school there, coached there, and knows most the kids, and he say's they are not that bad for a newbie up in 4A, after being a 2A doormat for many years, before winning last year.

I thought you guys were going to have great depth this year based on returning players.They do have a lot of returning starters but a lot of them are going both ways and good portion is soph and juniors. Here's how they've played qtr to qtr which shows 2nd and 4th qtr they're not quite at the full strength as when they come out of the locker room before game and half time defensivley.

Offensively looks pretty stable through all qtrs. with only 4 qtr dropping off some but that can be from just trying to run clock down in some games. They have rotated some players in and some injuries so some getting some playing time that can be depth later in the season. There is less room for not being at your best this season as every game in district looks to be a battle for 4 qtrs.

Jourdanton has some very good size on offensive line and front 7 on defense. Great crowd by Jourdanton good luck to them the rest of the way, but going to be tough to win one in district.
