It has happened for years but today's instant media world we hear about things we would never heard about 30 years ago.
Prayers for these poor families who lost children.

It's a matter of factual mathematical result that out of the millions of high school football players playing millions of downs each season across the nation that serious injuries and even some deaths will occur. The percentage for this high-contact sport is so low, I would probably say there are more deaths in high schools across the nation attributed to murders, drug-related overdoses, and definitely traffic accidents than thru direct actions of hard contact in this sport.
