Heck, there has been only 3 posting including myself all year on this message board. Celina8, Orange Machine , and bobcat1 ....pretty much it. Now if we would have beat Argyle then you would have seen several getting on here. The loss to Argyle was hard, but the beating we took by Bishop Lynch basically sucked the oxygen out of those who were hoping for another state title!

I think WOS87 is referring to those of us that do a little chumming and baiting.

Yep Brady got hurt in the pregame before the Championship game started when they came out of the tunnel. Sad. Don't know if he could have stopped Carthage but would have made Celina's line better that night.

It was a close game. Celina played well without him.

You're so proud of yourself aren't you? Argyle in it's infancy came to Celina practices when Butch Ford was here to learn what it takes to be a winning program. They have taken that info and done well.

I wasn't around here back then but I think the Argyle "pride" vs Celina might have started back in 2005 when leading by 48, Celina went for 2 late in the game vs Argyle to go up and win by a score of 50-0. Old timers still bring it up.....and I think it is why you heard some Argyllians wanting to score the TD late this year vs take a knee. Small towns have long memories I guess.

Small towns have long memories I guess.I wasn't around then either. Not around now. Moved to Sanger when last son graduated. Still have lots of friends there. Coach Ford always had something about 50 points. No reason I can see to hang 2 more points but Celina certainly has had it come back around to them.

I can tell you what happened in 2005. Celina had all their starters pulled from the game and standing on the sidelines. Instead of risking getting the starters hurt "oline" they just went for 2. Makes sense in the grand scheme of things because in reality what's 2 points when it's that big of a blow out?

I ain't buying any of this. Celina will be in the mix come crunch time.
