Both teams are coming off hard-fought close losses but the Gobblers should take this one

What is Cuero all about? Do they have the power run and solid defense like the Cuero teams of old or is this a different type of team. Columbus is gonna line up and run the same thing right at you over and over (even if it doesn't work) and they play pretty solid defense..

We are the same old Cuero , power running game , using our big back D Hopkins (6-3 220lbs ) as well as Martinez who can tote the rock as well. We have a QB that has trown for 800 yards as well , two big fast wide receivers , and a couple smaller speedsters. With a solid O line , and Defense had only given up two TDs until crabs scored 21 on us last week. Which is not to bad , they had been averaging 40 points or so a game.

I think the Gobblers should come out seasoned after this non district schedule as we have built an answer for teams who throw all their eggs in one basket to stop D Hopkins. The aforementioned passing game which has been extremely efficient. Martinez has been a pleasant surprise with his speed and quickness. Defensively we are playing the pass better tham in years past as we have 5 INTs thus far. Although we didn't take advantage of some gifts last week...I feel okay with where we are at right now after playing Calhoun that got 4 starters back.

Better leave the cheerleaders and drill team at home!

And, based on a coaches recent firing, maybe leave credit cards at home too?

Columbus booked a solid predistrict schedule, this is a tough one to imagine Columbus pulling out. I think cuero wins by 10 plus.

After a tough loss last week Cuero will be ready Friday night. The Gobblers just need to capitalize on the turnovers and be able to finish drives. Gobblers win!!!

It seems the Cards played Giddings tough...can anyone elaborate on that game who was there....sometimes stats don't tell the real story.
