Probably but Sweetwater and Andrews have surprised each other over the last 35 years! You never know in a rivalry game. Andrews playing @ home gives them a 2 TD advantage off the bat.

Congrats to both of these teams for their great starts and big wins to get to this matchup unscathed. Sweetwater will finally meet a team of their caliber for a chance to prove on the gridiron of glory that they are indeed a team to be reckoned with. Don't know much about Andrews....other than they just whooped up on Monahans. I guess that in itself speaks volumes for Andrews. Argyle is only familiar with their perennial golf team that keeps beating us on the last day each year, haha.

Funny you say that. I work with a guy here in Andrews who is from Sweetwater and he called Andrews's bowl the "taco bowl" too. Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater is a really cool place to play. I'm talking about Andrews's bowl has a bigger seating capacity and way better parking. Andrews is building new concession stands, bathrooms, and adding a video replay board in the off-season. Like I told the monahans peeps-we'll more than likely be re-aligned to 5A in 2016 and we're trying to upgrade. We need to win the next 2 years. I hope ya'll Red guys come out on Friday. This game could resemble an 80's or 90's Andrews-Sweetwater classic match-up! Word in Andrews is that W.T. Stapler will be in attendance.

I remember 1993 Quarterfinals in San Angelo ya'll got us 17-7. But the all-time classic was 1998 in Sweetwater with 14,000 fans and ya'll got us 42-35. Shaud Williams rushed for 275 yds and 5 TD's. Whoever won that game would've been state champs. And ya'll were. You know Shaud Williams is the strength and powerlifting coach in Andrews now. He's made a lot of difference.
