All three teams the Leps have played are on this list but the La Grange Leopards 3-0 are not. Does that mean Pigskin Preps does not consider Liberty Hill, La Vernia and Columbus tough opponents?:vrycnfsd:

La Grange is 25th and no it means he thinks LH, LV and Columbus have played tougher opponents like LH playing Brenham for example.

OK I understand your logic but if LH>Brenham and LV>Calhoun and LG played them both how come their rating is lower? The math seems off to me.

LH's 151.28
LV's is 149.06
LG's opp power rating is 143.08

LH has played La Grange, Brenham and Brownwood
LV has played Wimberly, Calhoun, and La Grange
LG has played Liberty Hill, Columbus and La Vernia

His ratings say that Brenham, Brownwood, Calhoun and Wimberly are all tougher opponents than Columbus.
From what I can see based on his ratings, La Grange playing Columbus and only beating them 29-6 hurt the
Leopards.

This grouping of stats favors teams that are NOT top-rated in their division. In other words, the highest rated teams are at a disadvantage(naturally) in this category. Basically, it means nothing in the bigger picture of who should win any particular game. Power ratings this early in the season are just not that meaningful....it's too early, haha. Talk about and compare strength of schedule and power ratings in the playoffs....not now.

WOS will definitely stay up there after the Richmond Foster game next week. I'm actually gonna try to go to that one. Took Saturday off even. We've played (and beat) a 5A and two 4A-D1s (including the largest one in enrollment in the state) and playing a third 4A-D1 this week in Silsbee.

Center plays Jasper and that will give them a boost but Tatum plays a weak Liberty Eylau team that will hurt their SOS.
So, I'm betting WOS is atleast 2nd on the list next week.

Thought Celina would be on there after all the chatter about them not playing slappies every week...insert eye roll here....

Surprised to see Stephenville up there, they've only really had one competitive half (first vs everman) all year.

These rankings are based on season long projections Pud. Yoakum for instance, is there at 6 because of their upcoming games. No way has Yoakums first three opponents had a higher power rating avg. than LG. Not even close.

So am I misreading this? It's pigskin's explanation above the list.

This is based on the total opponents ratings divided by the games played to come up with who has played the strongest schedules based on the opponents rating.

I thought he was just adding up the rating of the opponents played (total opponents) and dividing it by, in this case, three.
I'm not arguing, just want to be right going forward.
