I'm pretty sure Ingleside will handle the slot T better than Sinton did. Rockport defense good against the run but passing defense is a weak spot for them.

should be a good game hopefully we can have a few guys off the injured list....we are surely gonna need them. I see Ingleside eeeking out a close one. if my mind serves me right I believe Rockport has only beaten us once in the last 10 years back when they were 4a and we were 3a, I could be wrong though but I don't think so.....I'm sure they are looking for some pay back. can't wait for this game should be a good one.

Great confidence booster game here. A good measuring stick type game, to see where you are at this point. Two of the D15 foes (Sinton and Yoakum) struggled with stopping the slot T. Should be very exciting. But, no one (thank goodness) in district runs the slot T. Yet? :doh:

I don't know how many big plays and TD's have been called back this year due to penalties, we really need to get that fixed. they were even occurring away from the play was the frustrating part.....we have a chance to be really good this year if we worked on the little things first.:dispntd:

It's all about execution. Defense has had some blown coverages, but they have done much better from a penalty standpoint.

I saw that and probably wouldn't disagree from an unbiased viewpoint. Ingleside lost a lot of seniors and had many unkowns this year. RF has a more senior led team if I am not mistaken. It gives the Mustangs something to prove going into this game.

1.) They have faced 1 other team in AP.
2.) They have done good on adjustments for the run. Short field position on horrible punts have turned into most of the rushing TD's.
3.) The Mustangs can strike quickly and run a high-tempo offense
4.) Not sure what RF has given up yards wise per game.
5.) They have faced only 1 team and passes and runs equally well and that was Sinton.

His name is Anthony Resendez if I am not mistaken and is a good athlete.

Ingleside has always been a balanced team most year rushing and passing for around 2500 yards...with Tristan Barajas we threw the ball around a little more but we still had running backs like Jalen and Marquis that could gouge defense that would want to play the pass, Hesseltine has always had an offense that could score quickly but this run game this year is new to everyone and not what Ingleside usually looks like. on the defensive side of the ball Ingleside is usually pretty salty against the run its their pass defense that gets them into trouble sometimes....and its not a lack of athletes either, this is more of a coaching issue. Ingleside always seems to have pretty good corners and hard hitting safeties its something the coaches really need to sit down and figure out.

Ingleside has been playing Hs football since 1934 and has pretty good doing it too. last time Rockport beat Ingleside was in 2008 when they were 4a and Ingleside was 3a winning 32-6 since then Ingleside has taken them to the woodshed 40-7, 27-21, 49-20, 41-0, and last year 45-21. since 2004 Ingleside has never finished worse than 2nd in district winning 5 district titles along the way last three shared. Ingleside went through a long playoff drought from the 64 season through the 2004 season only reaching the playoffs once in 1995 where they went 12-1 and were shalacked by Cuero in the region finals........in 1964 before going into that drought they were coming off a state championship run where they had a heart breaking loss to Archer City 13-6 in the state championship game. they also lost the 62 state championship game to Rotan 39-6 Ingleside also made deep runs in years prior where Bi-district was as far as the smaller schools could go.

so far this season IHS has played 5a Rio Grande City, Beeville 4aD1 and Aransas Pass 3aD2 where the Mustangs had racked up over 40 points in the first 2 games and were on pace in the 3rd game before the game was called due to lightning in the area....Ingleside is learning a new offensive scheme this year due to the athletes they have and don't have so the first three games have been full of penalties, there is no doubt Rockport will come in looking for a little pay back and to prove they are relevant in their district this season. after beating Sinton these player really believe in themselves and will come into this game to make a statement, I cant wait for this game and I'm going with the homer pick and say Ingleside in a close one. come on in and welcome to the Pasture Of Pain!!!!:1popcorn:

Never thought Rockport would have put up all the points on Sinton like they did. Sinton did put some points on them as well but not enough at the end of the game. I think Ingelside can win this one, but those kids in Rockport can play some ball...

On September 18 2009 the Rockport Fulton Pirates came into Ingleside touting a 3-0 record facing a undefeated Mustang team quickly becoming the game of the week. the Rockport Fulton Pirates left that night with a 40-7 loss I can only hope for a similar fate but that is highly unlikely but a Mustang win tonight will be all we are asking for.....its game day GO MUSTANGS!!!!!!!
