Yes but Trimble Tech would struggle to make the playoffs in 3a. Also, Springtown beat them 53-0 last year.
Credit to Godley for winning but that shouldn't be a suprise to anyone no matter the size.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict a 41-21 type of score with the cats coming out on top.

Here are some simularities of godley and boyd.( Since we played them the last 5 years).

I think i could see bridgeport scoring 50 if there were like 5 overtimes or something like that. But I dont think there will be any overtimes. Someone will win in regulation.

I wish i knew more about Godley. The things I have heard from you Godley fans and few other folks tell me that Godley is a very capable, solid team, which will probably have a good season. I can tell you that the Bulls are young, not huge, not blazing fast, but have a really good set of skill players who run a wide-open spread offense capable of putting up a lot of points, have a very good experienced 20yr coach not afraid to gamble, and a defense that is making progress every week. I really think the Bulls can win this one by 7-10 while riding the lift from last week's game and wanting to win their Homecoming very much. I look forward to a good game and meeting you Godley fans. I can tell you my standard line about the Bulls---they may not win them all---but they will never, ever, bore you.

Looks like the main threat for Godley is the QB. Good looking athlete who is fast and can throw. I think he is just a little slower than the Boyd RB who was blazing last week and gashed the Bulls for 442 yards. That is not to say that Godley does not have other weapons--but this kid just stands out. I look for the Wildcats to try to mainly run on the Bulls.

Yep we run and throw . The Bulls are the first team in the past 5 years to be brave enough to schedule us for HOMECOMING. I expect this week to be a coming out party as we continue our March into the 4A.

I have a feeling for Bridgeport from so many years past....no knock on Godley, mind you. I'm certain Bridgeport was absolutely devastated with their season last year. This is a school with a rich football history and much pride. Whether they win or lose against Godley this week, you can be assured it will be a seriously physical game from the Bulls side of the fence. I'm not very keen on what athletes either team has this year, but I just have this feeling that Bridgeport will be one tough cookie to play this season. Good luck to both teams this Friday night under the lights.

Godley wins this week by more than 14. The offence has had over 500 yards each of the last two weeks. The defense not so good. They have been moving a lot of kids around trying to get it going. I think they will be better this week. GO CAT!

All around the world, the so called experts have gtown winning by one or two touchdowns. The btown folks are saying they will blowout gtown. You know a team that gets a win after getting their hineys spanked so many times in a row can be dangerous. I look for this be a battle, but I feel like after the game, the bulls will be wondering when they will see another w. Might be a while. If there was a chance that btown could beat gtown in the last 5 years it would be tonight. Good luck!

I will never forget the 04' Decatur - Bport game. Decatur was a 40+ favorite and no one was disagreeing that. I think bport was 0-5 and Decatur was 5-0 and #1 state. Well it was 29-28 Decatur at the half. Decatur ended up winning by 30 but I'm telling you right now, never under estimate a Bport team. Henson knows how to coach. Also, Godley wouldn't have wanted anything to do with Bport from 08-12. They were very talented. They are going through a rough spot but they still know how to throw the rock. This all coming from a Decatur guy, so I'm not a Bull homer.

btown does have some things that are working for them, Godley has a new coach at the helm with basically an all new defensive coaching staff. Coach Dalton is a defensive guru. It may not look that great now, but but it will be . Also this is a very young team. We also have a nice group of young players on the jv. They scored 42 last night while blanking their opponent. This would be a big win for either team.

Its really cool playing all these new teams even if they kick our a%^#. Safe travel to all, and good luck to both teams!

The Bulls are finding ways to win again on the back of a very prolific and high-scoring offense. The defense is still a work in progress, but made a couple of nice stops, and the players are getting a lot of experience playing their positions and show flashes of improvement every week. Go Bulls!
