It is south of town. My oldest nephew went there on a youth hunt years ago and killed a hog. As far as camping are you wanting to camp there at NS WMA? We have several RV Parks in the area but you might want to check on availability (shut downs and expansion) at the refineries and other local businesses.

When is the hunt?

Sept 12th-13th we have the MRA National's (Mud Racing Association) coming to Sweeny for a HUGE Mud Race at the local track. It is the only time the MRA Nationals (National Circuit) will race in Texas.

We are expecting 90 - 150 mud racers coming from all over the US.

It will definitely be tough finding a place to stay.

We don't hunt until Dec 1 so we have plenty of time. Plan a trip over to scout the area sometime. Don't have an RV. Just tent camp usually when we make these type of hunts. My understanding is they don't let you camp onsite. Any small cheep hotels?

Good mom and pop cafés??

Thanks for the info.

There are places nearby that are good. Not too far from bigger franchise businesses.
