Battle of the Pirates! Rockport Fulton hasn't had no luck against Sinton with a W since dropping to Sinton classification several years ago. Rockport Fulton made it to 3rd round last season before being beat handily by Gonzales.
Rockport Fulton returns good portion of last year team, 5 on offense and 7 on defense. Key returner is qb Anthony Resendez, dual threat out of slot T.
Rockport Fulton handle Gregory Portland in their last scrimmage in live play 3-1 and won their opener against a pretty good Aransas Pass team 41-20 with 5 different players scoring for the RF Pirates. They held Aransas Pass to 1 first down in the second half on AP last drive of the game. This one should be a good close game, RF should be a playoff team out of district 15-4a D1 with La Vernia and Gonzales as the top favorites.

Sinton 2nd test versus the slot T, this should be a tougher challenge with RF qb being a dual threat to go along with a stable of running backs for RF.

I think it will be a good game. Rockport was able to play consistent football all night which was nice to see in game one. I haven't heard too much about Sinton, but I know those boys are always well coached and contend for the #1 spot in district each year. Should be exciting to watch!

My bad, I misunderstood what you were saying (Haven't been keeping up with the news). With that being said I expect nothing less than a great game from sinton regardless of where they are ranked, hopefully Friday night our boys go out and play hard and give us a chance to win at the end of the game

Sinton has won a district championship 6 straight years with 3 of them shared, Sinton will be trying for their 7th straight district title this season.

Sinton will be the strongest D2 team in Reg 4, to represent Reg 4 at state will take going through La Marque, WOS, or La Grange out of Reg 3... tall order IMO. No disrespect to Sinton or any of the other teams. Good luck!

Handson injured his ankle on a bad snap and limp in for Sinton 1st score and has been a non factor as a runner but keeping Sinton in game with passing attack. Sinton gets ball firs in 2nd half. This stadium is loud with RF fired up.

RH beat a weak 6A ballclub in Juarez-Lincoln 41-13. The real test will be against Sinton next week. I won't be surprised if it's another shootout like last season.

Good showing against Rio Hondo and then La Vernia should get them back on track. NOW Sinton needs to see what other teams do against the slot T because Pirates have made that offense look unstoppable a couple of times now.

Yes I think SINTON was OUT COACHED as well. But saying that tends to hurt feelings on here. Rockport scored when they wanted to score on the extra points as well. In my opinion TM didn't run the T near as well as Rockport. Not just because Rockport scored a lot, but because of the actual misdirection in the backfield was better.

I also don't understand the philosophy of calling 4 pass plays when you are down by less then a TD with 5 min left on the clock....... Sinton was and can get 3 to 4 yards a carry on the ground, so why throw the ball. Run it and burn the clock and score....... Just my two cents.

I LOVE our coaches and think they are the best around, but nobody is perfect. Sometimes, no matter how good the coach, they just aren't as prepared as the film would have them believe. It's no reason to to get hurt feelings. It's just how it is. We know what our boys and coaches can do...they will bounce back! Go SINTON Pirates!

So much goes into prep for a game and remember folks......its TEENAGERS that are called upon to make plays. It is early in the year, do not abandon the ship unless you are a fair weather fan and I am sure you can still buy tickets to other teams games. Support and be proactive, not reactive. You are correct....coaches are part of the team and knowing this staff they are taking all the blame, and when they win the players get all of the credit. Just do not like the fair weatherness of some, support good or bad or leave. I can say that being a long time Dallas Cowboy fan, through great and bad.
