I wish this game had been last year. Mean Green would have kicked their a$$e$.

This game will be very interesting. North Texas is not what it was in the past. Their O-line is big and nasty;full of three and four year starters. Lots of very good RB and WRs. New QB but he has been very good through Camp. The D-line is all brand new but the secondary is veterans and will rock your world.

GMG!

Longhorns defense won the game as Offense had a few bright moments-Ash had a few good moments but needs a lot of improvment to get ready for BYU next week. A missed field goal early in the first half hurt. This team will improve and win at least 7 games

Didnt UNT have the least returning starters out of any team in the country?

It was North Texas defense that were the true heros. All new front 7 and they went toe to toe with Texas being put into horrible position by the offense. As usual, the UNT offense laid an egg against a P5 foe. I would not get all excited about the horns defense. Lake Travis coudl have held UNT to the same results.

Yes, it does not take much of a defense to hold a weak team like NT to less than 100 total yards of offense. Agree it was NT but still a decent first game, saw a number ranked teams that just about got their ass handed to them against weak teams. Any win is a good win, now with Ash out the D will need to step up big time.

Another notch closer for your son to play Hook. Not the way you want it to happen, but stuff happens.
