Who will win this one? I think Rusk has a chance.

Sounds like wishful thinking to me. If they lose before we play them then we are in better shape. Not gonna happen though. Forney is to strong and will advance.

I guess we will see how strong Forney really is. Excited to see how they handle the 16AAA runner-up.

Forney, the 13-AAA champs will handle the 16-AAA runner ups without much effort is my guess.

This should be a good series especially game 1. I understand Rusk has a good left handed pitcher and we have a couple of good pitchers ourselves. Don't know anything about Rusk's second and third pitchers so I really can't speculate on them but I know we have some decent pitching in our second and third.

I heard there ace was good to. Maybe he just had a bad game against Carthage cause they ripped him. I dont think they have a 2nd or 3rd pitcher. In the first round they pitched Linder the whole first game and like 4 innings of the second.

Forney should be considered the favorite until
someone in Region II can beat them. After all,
they have won 16 straight playoff series, and I
can only remember 1 lost game in that stretch.
That was Alvarado in 2000 I think.

Rusk ended up second in a tough district, so they
must have a good team. How were their games with
Carthage? Does Carthage have good pitching? Maybe
if we play Carthage later on, we can get lucky
like we did in football.

Agrabfan, Carthage played Rusk twice they beat them 10-0 in the first game and 13-4 in the second game, with the linder guy pitching. Luck? Come on you know that was all planed out.. At least thats what all the other Forney people say.lol

My definition of luck is when skill meets
preparation. Regarding the last second TD that
won the game for us, we had a skillful QB that
made a great play and a wide receiver that had
prepared to go deep when the QB scrambles. I
don't really see how just dumb pure luck figures
into the equation here. What makes it seem lucky
is the time of the game in which it occured.
All that said, Carthage had a really good team and
definitely were our equal that night. Chances are
really good there will be a rematch this fall.
But until then, it is baseball season.
