Another great match up. Cuero has the total package this year. If they get by Port La Vaca in week 4 I don't see them losing until very deep in the playoffs. Gobblers by 20.

Sounds like things in Gobblerland are looking very optimistic. A winning team does wonders for the community at large....esp. in small town Texas. Good luck to both schools this week and this season. It's time to go out and cheer the boys to victory. I played on that field many, many moons ago with the Goliad Tigers. I had to cover Arthur Whittington, haha. I did intercept a pass against you guys when I was a junior. The memories are still there....after all these years.

Cuero needs to play turnover free ball.

Their strong running game should do the trick vs wharton.

This is true...we were down 14 after a few minutes in the 1st qtr last year with 2 quick turnovers. That's been drummed in them this week. If we play defense like we are capable we should come out on top.

I think Coach Reeves has got program back . Numbers are up and allways helps to have speed with size. Wharton against Cuero has been classic games for many yrs. allways seems to come down to wire. I plan on watching this one.

These guys have played 11 times since 1931 and are 5-5-1. Only once (1950) has a game been decided by more than 7. That's an amazing streak of nail biters for sure. Sooner or later somebody will win by 30 but I doubt it will be this year.

Wharton has a good stable of receivers and running backs returning.

Considering that it is already Thursday evening, I figured Wharton Tiger would have posted his predictions for this game.

Same case for these Gobblers....there may be more speed on the field tomorrow evening than any game in the region. Every skill player on each squad can really scoot.

Pancho, shouldn't you be having your breakfast taco right now?

Just had mine at the Taqueria Chihuahua. Sausage, egg, choriso, bacon and cheese with plenty of hot sauce.

I'm thinking Cuero will win by 1 score.

Good showing for the Gobblers in getting this convincing win against a tough Wharton Tiger team. Cuero has a bright future this year.

Liked I posted earlier both teams will be better playing each other win or lose because they are both quality teams. I thought the difference tonite was the physical offensive line blocking for the beast Hopkins. Very good first gave for both teams They both will win lots of games. Dist15 has 3 teams in Cuero,Yoakum, and Sinton that are very even and these games will come down to wire and probably mistakes will make the diffence. All 3 should go deep in playoffs and possibly see each other twice.

Thought the new stadium looked good. When the new consessions open up the stadium will be a great venue for some playoff games.

I was lucky enough to get reserved seats with the backs and I have to admit they were worth the time i took to get them. The field will be a great venue for some playoff football like tango said and what about the band last night  I have to admit they were not the band I was used to seeing at the half and it seems like the School made a great choice in the new director.
