What is going on with the apaches this year? I hear they looked good last week against Columbus in the scrimmage.

Looking forward to Friday, it has been too long since last season.

GZ will be a different look totally. New coach. Though, that sideline to sideline show, stated they run the ball, the new coach has them spread out and airing it out. Should be a great game.

Not sure that's fits Gonzo personnel .Ramirez is a super strong runner but Gonzo lost some quality OL. Time will tell.

Yes, best line I've seen in a while. They certainly created some lanes. Big loss.

I agree...but the air show may end in crunch time as they go hack to their roots and run over some folks. They should be fine in this one.

looking foward to the outcome of this game. Very curious what Gonz does after Ricky L tailing it out of town. Also curious if Giddings can ever get back to the days of old after slipping the past several years to mediocrity?......my gut says Gonz wins in a close one. Ramirez will be too much to stop.

You think Ricky left knowing that this year would be a major rebuilding year? My guess is it might have played a factor.

I'm thinking the apaches lost a bunch to graduation and they have a new coach. So, I think Giddings will prevail by 10 points if they can connect on a few long passes.

that might have been a factor, but it wasn't the biggest factor. PARENTS and MONEY.

Ricky says don't worry about the Apaches, they will be just fine, and I believe him. Think he would have stayed in Gonzales had circumstances been a little different. I don't think the money was the deciding factor for Coach Lock.

I am VERY interested in this match up. Bellville will be playing Giddings week 3, and Gonzales week 6. Is Ramirez the good RB from last year? Gonzales completely caught me off gaurd when we faced them in the playoffs last year. I did not know much about them and honestly thought Bellville would win. I was wrong. Then, Gonzales goes on to have a pretty good playoff run which made me feel a bit better about the loss.

yes he was their QB, who was essentially the RB. very good runner. Reminded me of a young Spanish version of Josh Bryant of years past in bellville. quick and shifty and not afraid to run between the tackles

Buffs win 52 to 35 after being behind 35 to 24 at half. Great job of the guys not getting down all night and fighting it out the second half. Defense never let them cross mid field the second half.

We had two turnovers in first quarter. Not sure if there were any after that on either side. We almost intercepted a couple passes in the second half.
