WOW................whats happened to Vernon. They used to bve a R1 player every year. Seems as though they have fallen on hard times.

I reckon when the Savings & Loan debacle hit the skids a few years back, it most likely had a negative effect on the town, somehow??? Just kidding....Vernon had a fairly competitive team last season, and I suspect we'll see them in the playoffs again this year. Unfortunately, they will have to hear a few friendly "hellos" from Graham to start the season, haha. That should wake 'em up real quick over in Vernon, doncha think?

I haven't been to a scrimmage this year to give any detailed input, but I think we will be pretty scrappy from what I hear. Defense looks to be solid even though we have already lost a key player from last year with a season ending injury. I have heard the offense looks to be decent if some kids step up. Going to be hard replace the senior skill players and overall team leadership from last year.
