Good scrimmage. If these 2 teams played each other in week 8 or 9 like last season, I would expect another close slobber knocker.

Kris Boyd in gonna be fun to watch this year. Y'all keep the highlights coming. I will only get to see Gilmer once live this season when they play Carthage. I've been to the Kilgore Gilmer games the last 2 years, shame it won't happen for a 3rd year. Gilmer will be in the same situation as Carthage was in the last 2 years...during district no games worth really traveling to see unless you are a hometown fan.

From the sound of it your right. I think prolly every year if they played week 8, 9, or 10 it would be a heck of a ball game. That just a testament to those 2 programs. On a side note it won't be long before Kilgore wins a championship in the new 4a. Just a matter of time. Historically Kilgore was a better program than Carthage in the old 4a before we dropped. They were always a consistent player, and one of the top old 4a ETX teams. I would be surprised if any team besides Ville, Kilgore, Sota, or the Dawgs won a championship in the new 4a DI for a long time. Not a knock on any other programs, but all those programs reload and have the players every year.
