Texas running back signee D'Onta Foreman was just cleared by the NCAA. Foreman submitted his transcripts to Texas and the NCAA on Monday afternoon and the NCAA just now got back with the University of Texas that Foreman has indeed been cleared.

The former Texas City prospect had to attend summer school to earn one credit in order to be eligible. He completed that class with an 'A' average, which got him accepted both into Texas and cleared by the NCAA.

Sources close to Foreman tell Horns247 that Foreman will move in this weekend and will begin workouts with the team immediately.

The addition of Foreman adds critical depth. Only Johnathan Gray and Malcolm Brown return from last year at the position after both Jalen Overstreet and Joe Bergeron were dismissed from the team. Fellow freshman Duke Catalon has missed time in camp this fall with a strained hamstring.

As a senior, Foreman carried the ball 186 times for 1,893 yards and 28 touchdowns.
