So, basically, USA just doesnt need to get blown out. I have'nt watched much of Germany this World Cup. Can USA hang with them? I'm hoping for atleast a draw, which i know will be tough with Germany from what i have heard about thir talents. Does USA advance..? What do you think?

The US has a chance. We beat Ghana 2-1 and Ghana tied Germany 2-2

Germany also beat Portugal 4-0 and we tied Portugal... So...

Either way? We need Portugal to win or draw. If Ghana wins, it'll get interesting

Game Day!!! Biggest game of the World Cup so far. Portugal vs Ghana will be played at the same time. Exciting stuff boys and girls.

US wins or draws, it's on to the Round of 16 (playoffs). If Germany wins, we need Portugal to draw with Ghana (best situation for US), win by 3 goals or less (don't see this happening), or can lose by no more than 2 goals at the current goal differential. If US loses to Germany, it will depend on the goal differentials after both games.

Just a tid bit of information on Ghana... the players were on the brink of boycotting training this week unless they were given their bonuses that were promised by the Ghana federation up until yesterday. Ghana FA chartered a plane to carry $3M in cash to pay out. Interesting how this could effect their game today with Portugal.
