This is Celina's chance this year to beat Argyle. Celina has I believe 31 seniors with 2 D1 players and a potential for 1 or 2 more D1 players. I also think out of the 22 starters 18 or so will be seniors and this is the group we have heard about for the last 6 years that would be a state championship team. This will be the 3rd full year in the offense with a lot of players who have been playing varsity for 2 or 3 years. August will be here very soon.

I like that Refugio is on the schedule. It gives people a different look from what they normally would expect and creates a premier matchup in the process. I would personally love to see a neutral Cameron/Daingerfield non-district matchup in the future. Palestine would be an ideal location for something like that.

Lol... Yes they are. No homer here...lol They have 16 returning starters and I believe they are all seniors. About half of them were starters in 2012, the year after the state championship. There was about 4 or 5 really good players back from state team, but almost no jrs. so many soph had to play, (hence the 8- 4 record) . Last year 4-7 with a new coach and a bunch of jr players that could'nt fight their way out of a wet paper bag, (YET) , but this year will be different. The skill players are gooood. Goood speed. Not sure about lines, but a few move ins last two years and a bunch of kids maturing! D C has them at 20 and that is fair, but I think they are top 10 by NOV. You heard that from Gone Fishing first...

One of the good things about redistricting this year, is that Alvarado and kennedale are back in the same district for varsity play..our kids play each other from peewee all the way to 8th grade every year regardless what district we are in.. To say we don't like each other is an understatement..this Halloween will feature a scary good game between the Indians and Wildcats, most likely with the district championship on the line..definitely a heated rivalry game to witness this season!!
