Argyle vs Sinton should be a good one. Just watching the Pirates play against Hidalgo on KMAC's live broadcast, I was able to see how disciplined Sinton hitters are at the plate. Their defense is very good....so I suspect it will be a very close game. Argyle may not be able to match the hitting of Sinton, or the defense. Argyle does know how to compete and win close games with its very high quality pitching, though. It may come down to some "small ball" being played the whole game. Argyle is extremely fast on the base paths and will put extreme pressure on the pitcher/catcher. Argyle's Coach Griffin has prepared this team how to play in close ballgames....as opposed to swinging freely when at the plate. You will see them working counts, stealing, bunting the runners over, and punching the ball for singles with RISP. If they get behind by more than a couple of runs, it will be difficult for the Eagles to make up the difference. They have not really been able to freely swing the bats with the high-level schedule they have played. Some teams play lesser competition during the season and therefore develop more of a free-swinging style of hitting that actually helps the players improve their confidence and skill level at the plate more quickly. They become a better-hitting club because of it. Other teams like Argyle concentrate on situational baseball and rely on key hits, defense, and pitching. It just depends on where the team strengths are for that season. Overall, Argyle has a few big bats, but they are not a power-hitting club this season.

I hate how the games are in the middle of the week . I have too many people's teeth to clean, so I can't make it and it's KILLIN' me! I will have the audio of the game cranked in my operatory, so my patients better be patient! Coach K and his assistants will have our boys ready. As long as the Pirates don't hand the game over on errors, it will be a great one. Both of these schools have had an awesome year, both having gone to the State tourney in football and now baseball. Who could ask for more? Our community of Sinton has ALL the faith in the world in these boys. Goooo Pirates!!!:cheerl::clap:
