Two Argyle Lady Eagles have now signed offers for college with two different Big 12 schools. Taylor Mueller has accepted a scholarship with Texas to run track and Laine Lowry has accepted a scholarship with TCU to run track. Both girls were 4-year tracksters and a member of this year's 4x400 relay team that finally won the state title, where they set a school record best time of 3:56.54. They each had run the event for 4 yrs. and won silver in the 2012 season. Mueller was offered immediately following the event in Austin by the Texas track coach. She also holds school records in the triple jump and 4x100 relay. Mueller had already made the cheerleading squad for Texas for next season, and thought her running days were over with, as did Lowry. Then TCU came calling last week with the offer for Lowry, and both girls decided to make a signing day of it together. Lowry also played volleyball and soccer for Argyle. Both girls had already been accepted at each Big 12 school for entrance in the fall semester, so this was icing on the cake. They will still be running again next season, afterall.
