Post em up as they play. Let's get some scores in here.

So far in Game 2 of the series, Argyle is up 4-1 tonite over Bridgeport. I don't know what inning they're in. Argyle is 1-0 in the series. A win tonite and Argyle advances.

Final

Argyle 11
Bridgeport 1

Looks like Argyle got 11 runs on 12 hits in 5 innings and run-ruled Bridgeport out of the playoffs. Totally different effort from last night's game. Argyle wins the series 2-0 and advances to the next round.

A great start to what should be a very good HS career for this young man.

Upset of the night may have been Vernon (9 wins I think) beating Mineral Wells who had swept Kennedale to win district 6! Vernon now waits for Burnet-Alvarado winner.

I wouldn't bet against them, though. They may have played CS a little shaky, but that happens all the time in baseball. CS ain't no slouch, either. Nope, I wouldn't bet against them, but I won't be betting for them either....haha.

I did not make it to the game however was told Supak was not his normal good stuff, that happens and is why I still would have gone with a series but maybe Needville wanted one game. If LG was going to make any kind of a run in the playoffs they needed to have other pitchers to get their feet wet in playoff games, when LG had Homer and went with one gamers they had the hitters to score runs and not so much with this years team. Also give credit to Needville, they beat Supak last year in the playoffs so they were not afraid to face him again this year. We had two Seniors pitchers step up big time last year against Needville, them Needville kids have been a throne in LG for a number of years. Good luck to them the rest of the way.
