We were fishing on Texoma today with my grandson. Got a call saying my granddaughter stepped in some hot coals that melted her tennis shoes to her feet. They are transporting her by ambulance right now to Parkland Burn Center from Bowie, Texas. We are headed there now. Thought I would post this while Net Girl is getting ready. Thanks in advance 3ADL family.

What a horrible thing to happen. She'll be in good hands at Parkland. Prayers for your granddaughter and all those affected.

Just got in from Parkland and she is going to be okay. They gave her every kind of pain medicine they make and finally she went to sleep. Then they bathed her and scrubbed all that tissue off. All 2nd degree burns. They are keeping her overnight to make sure it's not infected. Right foot is the worst. Left foot is still real bad though.

They burned a brushpile yesterday and told all the kids to stay away from it. She was hunting Easter eggs and forgot where she was. It melted the plastic shoes to her feet. Could have been much worse. Thanks for all the prayers but I think she is out of the woods now; thanks to all the prayers.

9 yr. olds have a way of healing real fast, thank God. They seem to find the trouble, for sure. But that's all about being young and adventurous. Glad to hear all is well. Glad it wasn't something like a snakebite.

That is wonderful news my friend. I will continue to pray that she remains comfortable and heals correctly.
