Argyle(7-0) can claim the outright district title tonite with a win over Celina(6-1) in Celina. If Celina wins, the teams will share the district crown. First pitch will be @ 7pm.

Argyle up 2-0 on Celina after 5. Celina's centerfielder Preston Morse probably saved at least 3 runs with 2 great highlight catches that most CF's wouldn't get to.

On a side note, I shot a 41-40 for an 81 at Canyon Springs Golf Course in North San Antonio.....a golf course I have never seen before. It has some "blind" shots and I actually eagled a par 5 on the back. It was a good day on the ol' course today, for sure.

Correction: Argyle was 2-0 over Celina after 4 innings. Now it's 5-0 as the Eagles chase Celina's starter from the mound. Celina is batting now in the bottom of the 5th. The Boyzuick brothers both did some damage at the plate in the top of the 5th.

On a side note, Coach Ricky Griffin has now coached Argyle to 7 straight district titles in baseball. Congrats to him on developing a great baseball program at Argyle.

Texans beat Fredericksburg 10-3 to set up next weeks showdown with perennial champion Boerne for the district title. Texans must win both. A tough chore indeed.

From last week...

Per the Wimberley paper: Texan senior JJ Weeks struck out 16 in a 7-2 win over Canyon Lake. It is a new school record. Congrats to this young man.

You haven't seen anything. For the next two years, Houston Scarborough, who is on a 45-47 game losing streak that will probably continue, will make the playoffs in football.
