IP won the game and I guess I'm eating my words, but I will admit that I thought that Vernon was going to beat IP. It was a good game, but throughout, Vernon's offense never could get going. I'm not sure of the official stats, but I'm thinking Vernon only got 4 first downs. IP has a good team and will match up against Graham well with that big D-line.

Vernon's D played well & I was not impressed with Vernon's offensive play calling--although I'm not sure I could have done any better. IP's D was stiff. I was proud of the Vernon team as they faught a good battle. They have to get ready to play Childress which seems to be getting better each week. So congratulations to the Hawks and for those IP Juniors I'll be back next year again talking that talk as my boy will be returning with about 3/4 of the starters from Vernon and I'll be hoping for a good run at it next year.
