Scoop, any details about Wednesday's results?

I know most field events are finals already, correct?

Kilgore won the 16-3A district meet with 184 pts. Chapel Hill was 2nd with 127, Gilmer 3rd with 111.

The Kilgore boys have won district championships in football, basketball, soccer, track, and tennis this season. The baseball team is sitting 1 game back of Gimmer.

Men

Argyle 188, Celina 181, Ranchview 140, Lonestar 57, Aubrey 37

Argyles Reese Thompson won 1st in pole vault, 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles while taking 2nd in Long jump. He is headed to UT on a track scholarship. You may also remember Reese as the Argyle cb that ran down Larry Rose in the 4th qtr of the state championship game. Great kid, great athlete.

It's a matter of field events versus running. The final chapter to this story has yet to be written. We'll see what happens....


Of course, if it comes down to a showdown at regionals, Argyle will have the advantage.........We now know what happens in Commerce, when these two programs meet.
