Scored 49 in the 3rd qtr last night and had 115 at the end of the 3rd qtr lol

Ended up scoring 145 in the game, which is the most by any team this season, all while Dwight and Beverley were on out with injuries

Might be their year....... I don't think the Mavs have much of a chance so next best case would be Rockets.

Mavs are doing just fine with the roster they have. Idk how often everyone watches the Mavs but they have probable chances against whoever they are matched up against in the playoffs depending on whether they get a 7 or 6 seed.

If they can get the the six seed (a game back of Golden State right now) then they'll play the Clippers who they went 1-3 against this year. In the three losses, they lost by a combined 15 points and blew 20 point leads in two of them.

If they get the 7 seed then they'll play OKC who they've beaten two out of three times this year.

The Mavs have lost a lot of close games this year and as long as they don't have to play San Antonio then there's a shot and no one wants to play against Dirk.

Also, Houston scoring that many points is ridiculous, but they also gave up 130 points which is equally unimpressive.

Yep thought I mentioned the 130 but apparently not.

When you play their tempo though, the other team will score a lot too. Plus they called off the dogs pretty early. LA closed the gap late somewhat

Yea, they certainly have done better than I expected. I just saw where they have moved into 7th place in NBA power rankings. That's the best it's been all season so maybe they are peaking at the right time. I have chosen to not watch too many of their games and the few I do watch seems to be the games where they have a 20 point lead and lose....

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what the Rockets do, them and SA are the two teams I feel that the Mavs have no answer for. It would be pretty cool to see all the Texas teams make somewhat of a run.

Lakers also gave up 142 to the Clippers and 143 to Minnesota...

Mavs lock in the 7th seed with any Memphis loss. Which is critical since they will get swept by the Spurs if Dallas get the 8th. Dallas won the season series against OKC. SA is the only team that they have no shot again. Dallas split the season series with Houston.

Yeah, LA is awful. No denying that.

Rockets did get Beverley and Dwight back just in time for the playoffs. Beverley's first game back was a career high for points for him I think. Hopefully Houston can do some damage in the playoffs

Hack a Howard worked to perfection tonight.... Allowed Portland to get back in it. You just have to be able to hit free throws

Saggy Aggie

Crazy game, Portland made a big comeback, forced OT, back and forth in OT, lots of key foul outs, Dwight goes 6/6 from the line late then misses the last one, and eventually it all comes down to a horrible foul call on Dwight and 1 shot by harden and he can't hit it. Rox drop game 1 damn

Nba issued a statement that the foul call on Dwight Howard with 10.8 left in overtime was the wrong call. Should've been called on freeland.

Rockets were down one, Dwight would've went to the line for 2 FTs.... Instead freeland got 2 FTs.... Talk about screwing Houston over....

Happened to the Mavs in the third to last game of the season against Golden State also. NBA said Jermaine O'Neal (Yes he still plays) should have been called for goaltending. It was with less than ten seconds left and would have put Dallas up by one and Dallas would have gotten the 7 seed. Happens to us all unfortunately.

You would think when it comes down to the decision of the game they should be able to review crap like that. I'm all for human error, but I think if it happens within the last minute or hell, even the last ten seconds why not review the foul.

Saggy Aggie

I thought for sure it would have been reviewed, especially since Dwight fouled out on the play

I agree. They were reviewing every thing else. Why not this one on what was a critical call?

I really find myself not caring about the results of their playoff games.

Aldridge held to 8 pts last night and Houston wins game 5. Headed back to Portland for game 6....

Matthews and Batum have been automatic in this series. Did not expect nearly the offensive contribution from those 2 guys that we've seen so far

It didn't make much sense to heavily guard the inbound passer. .9 seconds was not enough time for him to inbound, catch a return pass, then shoot a 3.

You just don't get caught " chasing or following " a screen.

Kevin McKale kept saying how frustrating these guys could be fundamentally or listening.

Most JH and HS players would know not to get caught chasing.
