In District 30AAA Orange Grove beat Sinton 5-1 to cinch the district championship. It was a great defensive duel with great defensive play by both sides until the sixth inning when OG batters exploded and hit the ball just where they needed to and got the win.
Another important game was Robstown vs Rockport-Fulton and I hope I can get the result by at least tomorrow.

I don't have the Ingleside vs West Oso score but neither team are playoff contenders. With one game left Friday it is simplified. The standings of the playoff contenders for 3 spots are as follows:

1. Orange Grove at 8-1
2&3 tie are Rockport-Fulton and Sinton at 6-3 each.
4. Robstown at 5-4.

Orange Grove has won District and has cinched a playoff spot of Course.
Robstown has turned it around the second half going from 2-4 to 5-4 and it is simple how they did it. The won the close games in the past several games. I expect them to be able to beat Ingleside Friday and be 6-4. Ingleside won't get this upset is what I am assuming.
The big showdown is Sinton at Rockport-Fulton. The winner gets second place and a playoff for sure. The loser will very likely have to meet Robstown in an extra game to determine who gets the third playoff spot.

Sinton and Robstown fans can both be proud of their teams. Robstown by being down 2-4 in district and coming back to be in position to make the playoffs and Sinton for losing momentum but fighting back to win the third playoff spot. These teams met in 3 games this year and all three were decided by 1 run.

Sinton started softball in 1997 and have been in the playoffs every year but the streak was almost stopped this year but Sinton advances for the 18th straight year.

Well done by both teams.
