Metroplex Pro Franchise Questions

1. Why can't the Rangers put together a winning starting pitching rotation with more than 2 league top front-line starters over the years?

2. Why can't the Cowboys develop EITHER a multiple playoff/championship quality winning offense OR winning defense in 17 seasons?

3. Why can't the Mavs get Dirk more quality help since the NBA Championship season?

4. How come the Stars lost their "magic"?

Perhaps the metroplex needs a polo or quidditch franchise---anything to get the fans fired up and excited about something again....


These have all been discussed from time-to-time on the board, but it seems the mediocrity bug is biting in Dallas pretty hard over the past majority of seasons in the last 10-15+ years except for a couple of Mavs, Stars, and Rangers bright spots here and there.

Its all about the money, and as long as these franchises make money they do not necessarily have to win.

The Stars are seriously making the moves to bring back the winning ways. The new GM is the same guy that oversaw the Red Wings through their great runs. The HC is a veteran guy. They are both winners. The team is starting to gel with some great new talent and have a legit shot at the playoffs this year. Aside from the disgusting new (victory) green jersey and logo, I like what they are doing.

NO?......you just hurt my feelin's.....:(.........Yep, their colors look pretty close....Burnet is actually kelly green....I have no earthly idea what the difference between victory & kelly is......but Greendawg once dated a girl named Kelly...that is until G-Dawg tried to get frisky and reached down below only to feel two testiculars larger than his own!!..Yep, Kelly was a man's man!....but let's keep this story quiet...I wouldn't want it to get out!......:vrycnfsd:.....we could always ask panfan about colors.......he loves GREEN!....

OK OK...so the Kelly story above is really not true...but I was inspired by a cousin of mine....who once had that happen to him after a few too many beers!.....years later, I asked him to tell that story again...but I guess he wanted those memories erased.....so he completely denied it ever happened!.......Don't think he ever went back to Mexico after that scrotalius encounter!!......:spitlol:......this almost sounds like something that would happen to someone like G2!...:thinking:
