In District 30AAA Rockport-Fulton (RF) won the shootout over Sinton 4-3 with both teams playing basically a good game but both teams made mistakes that hurt them with Sinton making the last few that decided the game. No upsets as Robstown beat Ingleside 15-0 and Orange Grove beat West OSO 12-0.
The Standings at the halfway mark with each team having five games left as follows:
A three way tie for places 1-3 with 4-1 records for Sinton, Orange Grove and RF.
4th place with a 2-3 record is Robstown
5th place with a 1-4 record is Ingleside
6th place with a 0-5 record is West OSO
At this point I still feel like the 4 teams fighting for 3 playoff spots are Orange Grove, Sinton, RF, and Robstown with Ingleside and West OSO capable of pulling off a big upset. Even though Robstown has 3 losses I feel they are capable of making a run and get to the playoffs but a couple of losses and they will will need help.
Big showdowns are coming during the next 2 weeks with the one this Friday March 28 being Robstown playing at Orange Grove.
