Never seen Strickland Field in such poor condition either. I have heard, Tom is nearing the end of running this complex. He still there, but--that gleam in his eye isn't I noticed. Man, I hope they can find someone as dedicated as he has been for all the years I can remember coming to Weimar to see some great baseball/players over the years. He's done a lot for our area in regards to baseball both HS and summer action. And, this field was once the gem of the area. Still the best place to view a game IMO. But, it sure look's in sad shape. I can handle no green grass, but--the little complex touches that once was done to set this stadium apart, is lacking. Cause, I know Tom is getting older to maintain and if he don't do it, it will not get done apparently.

Hope Weimar can find another 30 year old Strickland for the next 30+ years? And, keep this going at Veterans Park Strickland Field.

Yup, seen them all. Weimar unlike (or was with Tom running it) like no other when it comes to summer ball.
