TBALittle surprise Sinton hasn't been bringing the runs early on, most of the players did well last year at the plate. They're putting the ball in play with not many strike outs in a few games I've seen them this season, ball just not finding the holes yet. Pitching is the big question mark as it was expected, but some of the young ones have step up some early on and just need the ones with more experience which will most likely be counted on in district play to keep improving on the mound.

Donivan Lopez hasn't played so far in the regular season, did see him pitch and bat against Moody in the scrimmage tossing 2 no hit shut out innings. Looked sharp then but hasn't played yet since then.

Hopefully I get to maybe see some of the games thu, fri and sat. Robstown at TM 8pm i'll most likely make it to that one.

Good opening victory for the Pirates. TM has been playing some good ball recently and have some outstanding kids on that team.

Gonna try to catch my Cotton Pickers later today.

Churchill has some great prospects for the next level. The current freshman Texas Longhorn 3rd baseman was a stud for Churchill last season. They seem to reload on the talent regularly.

That's a good game for the Sinton pitcher, giving up only 5 hits a complete game.

The team that knocked us out of the playoffs last, Hidalgo is also competing in this tournament. Not sure how much they returned this year. They were losing to Churchill last time I saw the scoreboard.

Nuguera is the one that took the victory in the deciding game three versus Robstown in the playoffs last year. I believe he is a junior. He is probably their number one on the mound.

Westlake falling to both GP and TM is a huge surprise to me. Not the Westlake of my youth when they had great talent year in year out.

Who pitched for the Pirates? That's a tough loss for Sinton. They will bounce back in the next game.

Tyler Trevino, think he's a freshman or maybe a soph. His first start was aganst Eagle Pass Winn holding them to a run.

Robstown falls to TM 7-0 in 6 innings due to time limit. Outstanding pitching from the TM pitcher. I believe he may have had a no hitter, but it depends on how some plays were ruled a hit or an error. The new field at TM doesn't have a hits column, so there isn't a way for me to verify how those plays were ruled.

Sinton falls to GP 4-1

Pitching seems to be picking up for Sinton compare to the start of the season but hitting imo was going to be a strong part of the team this season hasn't got going like I think they will. Sinton plays at Yoakum today, last season it didn't go to well when they went to Yoakum.

Sinton wins, 5-4. Ugly game. 1 ER earned for both teams. And, wind was something for both clubs to deal with. Congrats Pirates.

Congrats Pirates.Sinton is 6-7-2 for the season, few games defense hasn't been there but Coach K should get them into shape once he sets his lineup for district, he has always use different lineups before district to get a look at everybody before district. Pitching has had a problem in hitting batters this season, seems they're struggling to pitch inside. Sinton only starter on the mound they return from last season was Donivan Lopez and he has yet to play this season.
