I thought Graham was graduating a lot?

Heck, Argyle is graduating about 30 seniors off the team, and has a very small junior class represented....but a lot of good sophs. Our qb and main rb will be seniors, as will a few on the lines.

This is not a pre-season top 10. It's just Pigskin Prep putting the teams in the new districts in the order of their final power rankings last year. They will make adjustments for returning starters and so on and the rankings will have a whole different look in late July.

A lot of teams have trouble getting past East Texas...Argyle is not one of them...sorry we won't see 'em for the next couple of years

I think he was joshing....look at the smile at the end of the post. IMO, Stephenville should be rated at the top, not Graham. And I'm not sure about Gainesville either, but I'll go along with our new district nemesis Dallas Carter. Methinks they will bring some power to our region.

Graham returns 7/7 and we have a few top notch move-ins, One of which has already enrolled.

So you're saying they moved for athletic reasons...

NO! Just normal move in's that happen every year with eveyone. These kids will hopefully contribute to the contunued success of Graham. State Semi Finalist 3 times in the last 5 years.

That doesn't change my opinion of the Yellowjackets and Stidham at the helm. Where is your new qb that will replace the now graduating one? How much game experience does he have? You'll have to admit that at least Boyzuick of Argyle did well when he was behind center all his senior year, and of course Sadler was more run than pass when he was behind center. In all three cases, the qb's were seniors with lots of gametime experience and leadership roles. Stidham brings that to Stephenville in the 2014 season. What does Graham have at quarterback to trump that??? Davis is a graduating senior this year, is he not?

LMAO @ stafford being ranked.

Columbia will be much improved. Defense wasnt very good last year, but Columbia is bringing back nearly everyone on both sides of the ball. Offense was already pretty good last year. Necks will make some noise. District 12 champ will be the winner of EC and Columbia...

In Reg. II in my homer opinion Van is going to surprise some folks this year. They return almost everybody on both sides of the ball, except 1 good starter on the OL. They have a good in coming Jr. class, several move-ins already and get back their best receiver who was injured for the season week 1 last year. Not sure how good they are going to be but they will be a serious threat to beat both Athens and Kaufman in district. Argyle & DC have to be considered the teams to beat though until its proven otherwise.

Reg 1? Graham will not be that good... decent but not #1. Stephenville should be #1. Wylie/Brownwood/Big Spring will all be much better than last year and should be ranked higher... will be a killer district. I'll predict no one goes undefeated in district play.

So are the values in parentheses last year's win loss record? If so, they are saying then, that for example, Mineral Wells who was 1-9 last year is going to be just a kick butt team this year and is rated as number 5 in 4A division 1. LOL!!!! Something is definetely out of whack here - please define the values in parenthesis.

Yup - those are last years records. I've pointed out two or three times since this thread was started that there are no 2014 rankings on Pigskin Prep yet. They are just getting their site ready for next season and will have the rankings in late July/early Aug. like everyone else. The regional "rankings" in the first post are the power rankings those teams had at the end of last season, not the 2014 rankings.

Well, it's not like they came from Denton just next door, or "a fair sized bordering town" but they're "decent" lol.....see, all of our bordering towns have average pop of a couple hundred, or less.....I say we will still be that natural thorn in the side and play good football, again.
