Lorena Softball girls have beaten #1 team in 4A and defending 4A state champ Hays (#38 in preseason national poll), Elgin #4 in 4A, a top 7 team in 5A (forgot name) and just beat Stoney Point #6 in 5A tonight..

Not a bad weekend to be a Lady Leopard.

We played Leander and Belton Thursday and won both. On Friday we played Round rock - lost 2-1, and Harlingen - won. Today we played Round rock again and won 4-0. I think we were suppose to be in the bracket today against hays, but we play them in 2 days, so we were allowed to stay and play against RR. Overall good weekend for LH softball.

#7 Sweeny is 6-2 on the season after going 4-2 in the Brazoswood ISD Tourney

Gm 1: Sweeny 5, Brazosport 3
Gm 2: Sweeny 3, Crosby 2
Gm 3: Sweeny 5, St. Johns 1
Gm 4: Conroe 5, Sweeny 2
Gm 5: St. Agnes 5, Sweeny 4 (ITB)
Gm 6: Sweeny 2, Kincaide 1

Sweeny also beat Texas City 4-2 and #12 Sealy 9-2 before the BISD Tournament
