EB grad Shane Lechler to be inducted into Texas High School Football Hall Of Fame

Just saw that Shane Lechler, who played at East Bernard in the mid 1990s will be inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame on May 3 in Waco.
Lechler led the Brahmas in football as a QB, punter and place kicker and led the baseball team to two straight baseball championships in 2A
He punted for the Aggies for four years before playing for the Oakland Raiders and now the Houston Texans

Shane was a hell of a baseball player(could have easily played D1) but those state championship teams had far more than just him. Lots of baseball talent at EB in 94 and 95.

Also led team to regional tournament in hoops.

EB athletes continue to compete in all the sports.

A great quality for that community.
