Steve Freeman is out as head football coach after four years at the helm in Breckenridge.

Freeman's best season as head of the Buckaroos was actually his first. Breckenridge went 9-3 in 2010 and made it to the area round in their first year as a Class 2A school.

The next season the Buckaroos finished 7-5, and made a return trip to the area round.

After that Breckenridge finished with back-to-back 4-7 records, and was knocked out in the bi-district round of the playoffs each year.

Prior to becoming the head coach in Breckenridge, Freeman held the same position at Brownwood and Hamlin.

I don't think so...majority of the same who needed a change are still in power. But what do I know.
