State Titles

[Celina8]

I got to thinking yesterday about schools/communities with multiple State Titles. Celina has State Titles in of course Football, Boys Track, Boys Baseball, Girls Track, Girls Softball, and Girls Cross Country I believe. Southlake Carroll I know have State Titles in Football , Basketball, and Baseball, not sure about the Girls sports. Argyle has Football, Basketball, Band, Cross Country I think, not sure if they have any other. What are some other schools with 3 or more different State Titles?

I think our Boys have a total of 14 State Titles (8 in Football, 4 in Track, 1 in Baseball) Girls have a total of 6 (4 in track, 1 in Softball, 1 in Cross Country)

Celina has a Lonestar Cup and if we're counting BAND I guess you can throw in the 7on7 titles as well.

Navasota has 2 titles booth with undefeated seasons Basketball 1990 ( 35-0 ) Football 2012 ( 16-0 )

You know your right about my poor math skills, but I new I was missing a State Championship for Celina and I now realize they won State Track Titles in 1969, 1970, 1991, 2012, 2013 so the Boys actually do have a total of 14 different State Titles in Sports and the Girls have 6.

I say Band Titles should note count. The UIL Marching Contest is the most subjective competition there is. Real Marching Bands judged the same as DCI style bands. Apple and Oranges.

They should hand out connect-the-dots coloring books before halftime so we can make sense of what the heck some of the "show" bands are smokin. They must all be star gazers to get any kind of shapes out of the disorganized jumble that I see moon walking around out there. Give me a military style band any day.

So things may have changed in the 6 seasons since this but only minoriy. The football list should be up to date through this season unless I missed a school that hit 6.
