Jordan Wells had a monster senior season. (Smiley N. Pool/Houston Chronicle)

Navasota had a high-powered offense on the way to winning the 2012 Class 3A Division II state championship.

Then a junior, Jordan Wells was named the game’s Defensive MVP. He followed that with a monster senior campaign, topped off by being named to the MaxPreps Medium Schools All-American team.

Well was named to the second-team defense – 1 of 4 Texans named to the teams, which is based on schools that play in enrollment divisions generally between 1,000 and 2,000 students. He was the state AP 3A Defensive Player of the Year, finishing the regular season with 143 tackles, 40 tackles for loss, 12 sacks.

Yeah, you better call up Charlie and warn him. No sense recruiting such a runt.

Seriously, the dude plays like he's 6'8" out there getting after offensive opponents. A truly talented player. I wish him well.

He can play as tall as he wants but being 5'10 DT aint going to get him big time d1 offers.

What is "too short"? High level DLinemen are a gold.

What does he weigh? I watched my youngest son play against him last year. He is extremely good, quick and fast. Right coaching and technique he can play anywhere that will have him

My oldest son was D1 D tackle at 6'3" 250-260 lbs. Went against Outland Trophy winners and was out weighed by 50 pounds most of the time. Started 31 games.

270-280

5'11 277 lbs are hist listed measurables.

I'd say in reality 5'9-5'10 260-275 range

One of the others was Tee Goree, WR from Carthage. UNT commit by the way.

If I am Louisiana Tech, Utep, Tulsa, or any other college in that range, I would be meeting this kid.

Donaldson was a beast - very quick and fast down the line. Watched him totally dominate UNM's O-line this past fall. Hell he spent more time in the UNM backfield that the QB.
