Girls soccer season starts Tuesday

The girls soccer season kicks off for some schools tomorrow-I wonder if they will be playing with it being so cold. I have a relative who has a daughter that plays for Tomball Memorial so I keep up with the sport

Dang! I love watching kids play soccer....my two oldest played many years in the Mesquite Soccer Association...If I'm not mistaken, I believe that organization is now the biggest in the whole USA!!....It stinks that Burnet don't have soccer!.....Wonder how many other schools don't have it?.......

Wharton still doesn't have it but I believe they will add it eventually if there is a push in the community to the school board
I wonder if there are many 2A schools that have it besides Palacios

A lot of 3A and below schools have club soccer.
Soccer is a good way to keep the Hispanic kids engaged in school.

Jackets and Honeybees will be good this year. Both have a lot returning from a 2013 deep playoff run.

Lorena was the first 3A team in the Waco area back in 2003 or 2004. Have had to share district with powerhouse Waco Midway for many years. They moved to 5A and now more competative.

That's great! Notes Dame has been a national power in soccer as well.

Going to watch USA vs Canada women's national soccer at the of this month in Frisco!

Some friends of mine and myself went to the the two Gold Cup matches earlier this summer at AT&T stadium and had a blast. One of the most electrifying sports atmospheres I've ever been around.
